Søren Nielsen

Søren Nielsen is the President & CEO of Demant. He joined the Company in 1995 and has worked within multiple areas of the Group. He used Oticon as a case in his thesis work, and right after his graduation, he was employed with the company, which he has since then got to know from all angles imaginable. Søren Nielsen has a wide network in the global hearing healthcare community. One of the most important things that drives him is experiencing how proper hearing healthcare can positively change the lives of people with hearing loss and add immense value to society. Søren holds a M.Sc. in Industrial Management and Product Development from the Technical University of Denmark.

Thomas Behrens

Thomas Behrens is Vice President for Audiology and Research in Hearing Aids at Demant and directs research at the Centre for Applied Audiology Research at Oticon. Thomas serves in leadership positions within audiology and research at Oticon and Demant, the parent company of Oticon. He is accountable for research, professional communication and defining audiology in new solutions from Oticon. Prior to this, he spent 10 years at the Oticon Research Centre, Eriksholm. His research interests include among other clinical efficiency, signal processing, outcome measures and cognitive hearing science. Thomas regularly publishes research in scientific journals. Thomas has a Master Degree in applied signal processing from Aalborg University (1998), and a Bachelor Degree in business administration (HD) from Copenhagen Business School (2004).

James Michael Harte

James Michael Harte, Ph.D., Senior Director, leads the Eriksholm Research Centre and is the senior scientific advisor to the William Demant Foundation. He leads the strategic direction of long-term research and external partnerships, ensuring that advances in auditory science and artificial intelligence are translated into clinically relevant innovations and product solutions.
 
With over 20 years’ experience in hearing science, he began his career in academia in the UK and Denmark, including roles as Associate Professor in technical audiology and biomedical engineering, before moving to industry in 2013. He has since played a key role in bridging academic research and commercial application.
 
James is widely engaged with the international research community, fostering collaborations with universities and hospitals and serving on multiple advisory boards across leading research centres and academic institutions.

Leigh Martin

Leigh Martin is a British Audiologist and adjunct lecturer at the University of Cork, Ireland. Clinically, he has worked in the National Health Service specializing in paediatric audiology as well as vestibular diagnostics and rehabilitation. Leigh has also sat on the board of directors for the British Academy of Audiology. Since 2013, Leigh has supported the growth and development of the Interacoustics Academy and holds the position of Director of the Academy. Leigh has presented at numerous scientific conferences and meetings across a diverse range of audiological topics as well as having published papers in both video head impulse testing (vHIT) and wideband tympanometry.

Casper Jensen

Casper Jensen, MBA, is Vice President of International Sales for Diagnostics at Demant, where he leads global commercial strategy within hearing diagnostics and audiology solutions. He brings more than a decade of leadership experience from Interacoustics, a Demant company, where he played a key role in expanding global markets and advancing diagnostic technologies used by hearing care professionals worldwide.

With a strong international background and an MBA from INSEAD, Casper combines commercial leadership with deep industry insight, making him a trusted partner to clinicians and experts across the field of hearing healthcare.
